Orthopaedic care at Mediclinic, Mira Road East, is provided by Dr. Hitesh Shukla, an orthopaedic surgeon trained at TNMC and Nair Hospital and at LTMMC and Sion Hospital, Mumbai. He has completed AO Trauma courses and fellowships in the Ilizarov technique, arthroscopy and spine surgery, and has managed high-volume trauma and emergency orthopaedic cases as a senior resident and consultant.

The service treats bone, joint and spine problems across all age groups. Patients with severe arthritis or joint damage are evaluated for total or partial hip and knee replacement, with pre-surgical assessment, modern implants and guided rehabilitation. Fractures from accidents, falls and sports injuries, including complex pelvic and acetabulum fractures, are stabilised with internal or external fixation and followed through to full recovery.

Sports injuries such as ACL and PCL tears, meniscus damage and shoulder ligament injuries are treated with arthroscopic, minimally invasive surgery. Spine conditions including slipped disc, spinal stenosis and spinal fractures are managed with decompression, fusion or minimally invasive techniques when non-surgical treatment has not helped. The Ilizarov technique is used to correct limb deformities, treat non-union fractures and lengthen limbs.
